Knowledge Exchange

Applications now closed – all applicants will be contacted soon.

Connect with a fellow Community Presenter to share your knowledge, see a show and enjoy a cuppa!

Community presenters: volunteer arts committees that present performing arts experiences in their communities, are invited to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for our brand-new Community Presenter Knowledge Exchange program!

For the past year we’ve been meeting and talking to our network of Community Presenters. You’ve told us about all the exciting projects that you’re delivering, and the innovative processes you have for governing, fundraising, developing audiences, engaging communities and more.

We have developed this program to encourage and facilitate connection between Community Presenters with similar interests, challenges and/or projects, no matter where you are located in the State.

Participants in this part of the program will be selected via an EOI process and we will match each applicant with another Community Presenter.

Up to 10 successful applicants (5 pairs) will also receive a stipend of $500 per pair to be spent on travel and/or accommodation. This provides an opportunity to meet up, have a cuppa and maybe even catch a show or event! How each pair spends the money is up to them, as long as it goes towards connecting and sharing with each other.

Once the money has been allocated, or for Presenters who do not wish to meet up in person, we will still connect you to another Presenter for an online or phone conversation.

We know your time is precious, so while Presenters are welcome to stay connected with each other, there is no expectation that you must maintain regular contact with your Partner presenter, beyond the meet ups/online discussions outlined above.

EOI Process

Eligibility

To be eligible for this program you must be a registered Victorian Community Presenter. If you are not yet registered, please talk to Connecting Places Coordinator Nikki Ralston about how to register. It’s not an onerous process and as long as you are eligible, we can get you registered in time to submit an EOI.

Application

This is a very quick and easy form and should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.  If you need any support accessing or completing the form, please contact Nikki on her details below.

Selection Criteria

We will select participants for the in-person program based on the following two criteria:

  • Clearly outlined desire for peer connection and/or support
  • Clearly outlined openness to sharing, connecting and hearing new ideas

We will aim to match all Presenters who express an interest in the online/phone program.

Key Dates

Closed on Monday 23 October, 2023

As always, please contact Nikki Ralston if you have any questions, or if you need any support to complete the EOI.
