She has a fondness for texture, watercolour, gouache and pencil. Her illustrations are known for their heart-warming characters empowered by whimsical narrative, strong composition and vibrant colour palettes. Rachel's passion for animal welfare is apparent throughout her work. She spends time studying Australian wildlife, drawing inspiration from their characters and environments to capture their beautiful and sometimes quirky nature in her work.
