Prue Simmons is a passionate SAORI artist and teacher. One of only 3 who are accredited to teach this freestyle form of Japanese weaving here in Australia, Prue's Dyeing To Weave Studio is based at her llama farm on the stunning ancient volcanic landscape in Central Victoria. SAORI weaving is a unique freestyle weaving and moving meditation, allowing the weaver to enjoy playful experimentation with colour, texture and technique at the loom. Prue also enjoys working with Japanese Indigo and eco-dyes and her own natural llama fibre to create beautiful pieces that are truly unique. Prue frequently attends large events such as the Lost Trades Fair and passionately teaches SAORI weaving and natural dye through workshops right across Australia.
