Friends of Music at Resurrection Inc

We support a range of choral and musical events at the Anglican Church of the Resurrection, cnr Honour Ave & Mt Macedon Rd, Macedon. Our venue is a short drive along the Calder Freeway from Melbourne and is situated at the base of the Macedon Ranges.

The Church of the Resurrection is a modern building, built after the 1983 Ash Wednesday fires. It has both stunning architecture and a bright acoustic. The most striking feature is the 10 metre high stained glass window titled 'From the Fire', by Leonard French. The window depicts the devastation and loss of life caused by the Ash Wednesday fires and the later regeneration and new life.

The Church of the Resurrection houses a Kawai G2 grand piano for use of visiting artists. In addition, we have recently restored the former All Saints, Old Cathedral, Bendigo, 1865 Gray & Davison pipe organSee below for future organ recitals.
