Igniting the stage with the beautiful sounds of Bach, Beethoven and Brahms, 12 of Australia’s finest next generation pianists, aged between 21-35 years will compete for $65,000 in prizes (total value), over six wonderful days and night.
 
Musicians will perform recitals featuring masterworks of the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Impressionist periods, as well as music written after 1950, completing their repertoire with an Australian composition for a place in the Grand Final.
 
The three Grand Finalist will play on Saturday evening 13th September, broadcast live on ABC Classic FM around the nation.
 
Proudly supported by the City of Greater Shepparton, in the heart of rural Victoria, the Australian National Piano Award is a major piano competition, recognised worldwide.
