Important Update Regarding COVID-19

Monday 16 March, 2020

Members, colleagues and friends,

Responding to the evolving health threat posed by COVID-19, Regional Arts Victoria staff will be working from home, and restricting all travel, from 5pm Monday March 16 until Friday May 1, inclusive. Our Melbourne office will be closed during this time, and meetings or Regional Arts Victoria events may be moved online, postponed, or cancelled in response (we will contact you directly when this is required).

These dates will be reviewed regularly based on advice from State or Federal authorities, and may be extended or relaxed as new information is made available.

You can still contact us through the regular phone and email channels, though note that some landline phones may provide you with further details for follow-up contact (such as a mobile number). Programs such as Membership and the Regional Arts Fund will continue to be delivered. Artists and presenters currently participating in touring programs, including those delivered to schools, will continue to be supported, and we will work with any of our partners seeking to reschedule or cancel events.

We understand not everyone is able to work from home. Because we are able, we believe we should, and are acting accordingly. We have not made the decision lightly, and acknowledge the impact it will have on our current work.

Creative Victoria are continuing to update their website with new information about COVID-19, which you can read here:https://creative.vic.gov.au/news/2020/coronavirus-update. The Australia Council for the Arts has also prepared this resource page:https://www.australiacouncil.gov.au/about/covid-19/.

With love,
The Regional Arts Victoria team
