Regional Arts Victoria’s Programming Department consists of three Programs each managing a series of touring works;

  • Arts & Education, providing workshops, performances and art experiences for children and young people throughout regional and metropolitan Victoria;

  • Connecting Places, connecting with community presenters and touring work to halls across Victoria; and

  • Touring Services, working with producers and artists to tour their works to Performing Arts Centres throughout Victoria and across the nation. Primarily these touring works are programmed via Showcase Victoria.

Fostering creativity and engaging communities across the Victoria and beyond.

What's New in Programming
We’ve launched our very first combined 2018 touring program which includes Arts & Education, Connecting Places and Touring Services. A huge 41 projects!

Our preparations for 2018 tours are well and truly underway. Our team is busy talking with presenters of all shapes and sizes; connecting with enthusiastic community presenters, performing arts centres and schools from all over Victoria.

This year's Victorian Touring Workshop at the Darebin Arts & Entertainment Centre was full of practical advice, support and networking opportunities for producers ready to take their shows on the road. Check out these great resources provided by the 2017 Victorian Touring Workshop speakers.

The Arts & Education team are getting ready for Drama Victoria's Annual Conference at the Victorian College of the Arts on Thursday 30 November and Friday 1 December.

We are thrilled that Joel Bray has been awarded the 2017 Melbourne Fringe Market Ready Award for his work Biladurang. As part of the award, Joel will be working with Regional Arts Victoria throughout 2018 in our Tour-Ready mentorship program.
