2012 Easter Long Weekend the Tarra Festival celebrated it’s 40th year, and the theme was Let’s Celebrate!

Good Friday events began with an Official Opening and Easter Egg Hunt, elsewhere there were Church services and Historical tours.

Easter Saturday Street Parade features floats from local schools and community groups. Roving performers kept the huge crowd entertained with interactive hula hooping, stilt walkers, clowns, balloon tying, face painting, collaborative music. There was country music in the park and Lions Mixed Sports Day featuring lawn mowing races and more music. Easter Sunday began with the Tarra Bike Challenge and Pancakes in the Park, followed by Markets at Port Albert.

Easter Monday the Monster Market is a crowd favourite.

The community embraced the celebrations and new groups joined in like Tarra Trampers taking visitors on a special walk.
