Grants to boost creative events in regional Victoria
The Victorian Government is bringing more creative events to regional Victorians in 2027.
Minister for Creative Industries Vicki Ward today announced a new round of the Small Regional Presenters program, which helps attract high-quality artists to regional venues while building local skills and growing creative talent.
Grants up to $16,750 are available to support community groups and not-for-profit organisations in regional Victoria to present creative events in 2027. In addition to backing shows and events, the program also helps local venues upskill staff, reach new audiences and develop long-term business plans.
Previous rounds of the program have supported communities across regional Victoria to present a diverse range of creative events including First Nations music programs, circus and cabaret performances, children’s theatre, touring productions and more.
The Small Regional Presenters program is a Victorian Government initiative delivered by Regional Arts Victoria. Applications are now open until Friday 11 September for events taking place in 2027.
Minister for Creative Industries, Vicki Ward says,
“Small Regional Presenters is one of the many ways the Victorian Government is ensuring all Victorians can take part in fun and fulfilling creative events close to home.”
“Creativity is already thriving in our regions and this program is a boost that recognises the passionate staff and volunteers who are the backbone of vibrant creative communities across Victoria.”
Regional Arts Victoria CEO, Jo Porter says,
“We know that some of Victoria’s most memorable arts experiences happen in small halls and community spaces. This program empowers local presenters to create those moments and ensure creativity continues to flourish across regional Victoria.”
