Save the Date: Make Regional Art Happen this AusArt Day

This AusArt Day, help make new regional art happen.

On Thursday 22 October, RAV is taking part in Creative Australia’s AusArt Day with a fundraising campaign to support the creation of a brand-new performance work for a regional Victorian small hall or community venue.

Our campaign, Make Regional Art Happen, will raise $20,000 to support another Opportunities for Small Halls: Commission, putting a regional artist at the heart of creating new work for a small hall or community run venue.

Art made in a community, for a community

Across regional Victoria, small halls are places where people come together, share stories and experience live performance close to home.

Through the Opportunities for Small Halls program, RAV supports communities and artists to create something new together, bringing a regional artist into a local hall to develop and present a work that responds to its people, place and stories.

Donations this AusArt Day will help fund:

  • a commission for a regional Victorian artist
  • time and resources to develop a new performance work
  • artist fees that put money directly into the hands of regional creatives
  • the live presentation of the work in a small regional hall or community venue.

It’s a chance to support both regional artists and the places that make regional communities thrive.
