RAV Announces 2021 Arts & Education Program Plans

Available to schools across the state, the program will be delivered by some of Australia’s leading arts companies and independent artists and is designed to engage, educate and delight students from foundation to VCE through a range of creative approaches.

In response to the challenges posed by COVID-19, our 2021 program has been carefully planned to deliver a high quality selection of live and online immersive arts experiences that we are confident can be delivered safely.

Subsidies are available through Regional Arts Victoria for eligible schools in order to reduce barriers and provide access for students by offering significant financial assistance (up to 75%) off ticket prices and assistance with transport in some cases. Clustering schools together for bookings can further reduce costs in remote or disadvantaged areas. Our Early Bird Special provides 15% off to eligible schools and organisations who book three or more programs before 13 December 2020.

Teacher resources are developed to complement each program and assist teachers in preparing for and extending the program after the incursion.

A highlight of our 2021 program includes an innovative online professional development program for teachers. Delivered by Arts Centre Melbourne during Terms Two and Three 2021, The Creative Curriculum Online is a unique program designed to support teachers in all disciplines to build on skills development, enabling them to use performing arts practice in everyday classroom teaching and curriculum delivery.

The program has been curated by our experienced programming team, in consultation with an expert panel including VCAA representatives, artists, educators and leaders in the sector. Regional Arts Victoria is a proud partner of the Victorian Department of Education and Training.
