Our 2026 Creative Sector Survey results are out!

In December 2025 RAV called for responses to our annual Regional Victorian Creative Sector Survey.

We asked to hear from our Members and others who work in the creative industries about what is important to you, how you sustain and support your practice, and what you see as the benefits and dis-benefits of living and working regionally.

322 people answered the survey, including 71 of our Members. 74% of responders were longer term residents of regional Victoria having lived here for more than 5 years.

The top 3 advocacy priorities that were identified for 2026 are:

  • More funding for regional artists and/or creative organisations
  • More opportunities to experience creative activities in the community
  • Creative experiences for young people and under-served regional communities

To find out more about the priorities for the creative sector in regional Victoria, view the 2026 Creative Sector Survey Report.

Thank you to all who responded to our survey. At RAV we are taking careful note of what you have told us, and we will use the responses you provided to guide our priorities and advocacy in 2026.
