The opportunity to join our YEAH! 2025 campaign as a Fundraising Champion
Interested in raising money for young people in your community to connect with the arts?
This year we are calling on communities from across regional Victoria to join forces with Regional Arts Victoria (RAV) to bring more creative experiences to young people in regional Victoria.
Each year we take performances, workshops and immersive creative experiences on the road to inspire over 4,000 people in big and small towns across Victoria. But, for some communities the cost of providing quality creative experiences for young people can be a challenge. This year, with your help, we are aiming to reach many more young people by providing financial support from our annual YEAH! 2025 (Young people + Education + Arts = Happiness) fundraising campaign.
What will you be fundraising for?
Your fundraising efforts will mean that young people in your region can have an immersive creative experience – from playful physical theatre workshops, to a sketch comedy show with an environmentally friendly message, to creating live projection artworks with First Nations artists – these are just an example of the on call works available as part of RAVs Creative Learning program.
To get involved all you need is a network of people who, like you, believe in the power of creativity to inspire and empower young people. You will raise money between 1 May 2025 – 30 June 2025 for your community to coordinate a Creative Learning program working with a local school or hall. The fundraising target for each community joining the 2025 YEAH! campaign is $2,000.
Expressions of interest for community fundraising champions close 15 April 2025.

A message from our CEO
In 2025, more than ever, young people in the regions need space for authentic creative expression. At Regional Arts Victoria we have been working with artists for over 35 years to bring the joy of the arts – music, movement, the visual arts and performance – to young people in schools.
Community members who believe in the arts and creativity have a special role in encouraging and facilitating the creative passions of young people in their regions.
We hope you will join us in our mission to raise funds to have this important work reach more communities this year and in turn bring arts, education and happiness to your town!

FAQs

Becoming a YEAH! 2025 fundraising Champion is open to anyone who lives in a regional community in Victoria who would like to raise money for their community. You might have networks through your local group, such as Lions, Rotary, CWA, School or Kinder, or a local theatre or visual arts collective who believe in supporting young people with a passion for creativity. You may be able to raise funds through family and friends or in your neighborhood.
If you are part of a group, we will need one person to nominate as the lead Champion to be contacted and sign the agreement, but you can agree as a group to all support and champion the fundraising effort.
Yes. The concept behind this campaign is that your community directly benefits from your fundraising efforts by being able to book a Creative Learning experience when the fundraising goal is met. The funds will be used to pay artists fees, travel and accommodation costs (approx. 80% of costs) and associated RAV administration costs for delivery of the program (approx. 20% of costs).
If the goal for your community is not attained the funding will go towards the overall YEAH! Campaign target and your donations will be used for RAV’s Creative Learning administration costs to ensure the program can operate across regional Victoria. Your funds raised will still support young people to access creative experiences in their hometown.

Please note, the 2025 On Call program is just an example of what is available. Our Creative Learning Team will work in consultation with your local school, community presenter and other partners to establish timeframes for delivery of a program suitable for young people in your region.
