Comedy is returning to Castlemaine with the 2026 Women of Wit.

Starting in 2018, Women of Wit showcases the best new, emerging and established women in stand-up comedy.

This year comedians coming to the Phee Broadway Theatre include:

Janty Blair (Winner 2022 Deadly Funny Grand Final, Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala 2024)

Simone Amohanga (ABC Central Victoria)

Mel McGlensey (professional clown, Winner Best Comedy Overall Award 2024 Adelaide Fringe, Winner Best Comedy Weekly Award 2025 Perth FRINGE WORLD, Nominee Best Comedy Melbourne Fringe 2025, Nominee Best Tech-ISH Comedy Awards Edinburgh Fringe 2025)

And Laura Davis (‘A highlight of any comedy festival.’ Chortle (UK), Winner of Best Comedy at Melbourne Fringe, Twice Winner of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Golden Gibbo, Nominated for Best Show at Melbourne International Comedy Festival).

All alongside favourite local acts Cath Styles, Bess Patterson, Julieta Mateo and Patti Fawcett.
