Surf Coast Arts Trail 2026

The Surf Coast Arts Trail returns on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 August 2026, inviting visitors to step inside the studios, galleries and creative spaces of more than 300 artists across the Surf Coast Shire.

One of Australia’s largest open studio events, the Arts Trail offers a rare opportunity to meet artists where they create, hear the stories behind their work, watch demonstrations and purchase artwork directly from the maker.

Spanning 65 venues from Torquay and Jan Juc to Bells Beach, Aireys Inlet, Anglesea, Freshwater Creek, Moriac, Gherang, Deans Marsh, Winchelsea and Lorne, the Trail showcases the breadth and diversity of the region’s creative community.

Whether you’re an artist seeking inspiration, a collector looking for your next piece, or simply curious about the creative process, the Surf Coast Arts Trail offers a weekend of discovery, conversation and connection.

In 2025, the event welcomed more than 15,000 visitors, making it one of Australia’s largest and most celebrated open studio events.
