River Song: An urgent and emotive celebration of the Murray through original song and story
Audiences are invited on an immersive 60-minute musical journey through the heart of the Murray River. This acoustic folk tribute weaves together ten original songs with evocative regional stories, spanning the history of pioneering women and the river trade to today’s efforts in environmental stewardship.
Visually enriched by digital projections and river-inspired imagery, the performance creates a truly immersive, wraparound experience. Described as a “big hug for the community,” the show artfully blends an urgent call for environmental custodianship with a warm, intimate atmosphere. Guests are encouraged to “take your boots off at the door” and settle in for an evening celebrating regional resilience, our country humour, and our shared love of the river.
