Mobile Rock School
Inspiring regional kids to connect through music by learning an instrument, singing or songwriting.
By Sonic Boom Rock School
Creative experience available on demand as part of the 2027 Creative Learning Program
The Arts – Music | Personal & Social Capability | Critical & Creative Thinking
This workshop gives primary school students hands-on access to a rock band, exploring drums, bass, guitar, piano and vocals.
Every child gets the chance to try any or all of the instruments while learning basic music concepts — sparking creativity, building confidence and giving them a genuine feel for how a band works together.
Made for regional and isolated schools, where access to hands-on music opportunities can be harder to come by.
While our experience is strongest in the primary years, the format adapts easily to high school age groups where needed.
“Tim and the whole crew at Sonic Boom Rock School are much loved in our household. Over the past 4 years, my two primary school aged children have had group classes, private lessons and performed in Sonic Boom bands in front of the whole school community every semester. Tim’s passion, musical ability and teaching skill makes Sonic Boom an exceptional music program. It’s not just about learning an instrument or singing a song – Sonic Boom helps kids explore creativity, self-expression, performance and social development through music. Every child is encouraged to find their own way and is made to feel special and capable. I would recommend Sonic Book Rock School to every school and every parent.” – Rebecca B
