Flamenco Flamenco
Arte Kanela Flamenco
An unforgettable experience that celebrates the beauty and intensity of Flamenco.
“Flamenco, Flamenco” is a personal tale that reflects on heritage, place, and the passing of time. Shaped by over thirty years of artistic practice, the work brings to life the stories and personal narratives of each artist formed through a lifetime of connections and lived experiences within Flamenco.
The work is inspired by the Kanela Bar at 56 Johnston Street, Fitzroy — a creative home co-founded by brothers Richard and Johnny Tedesco. For two decades, the venue was a gathering place for Flamenco artists, musicians, and community, where traditions were shared, questioned, and kept alive through performance and exchange.
Transforming into a fully immersive Flamenco dance and music experience, consisting of 4 artists, ‘Flamenco Flamenco’ reveals the art form as a shared language of emotion, storytelling, tradition, and ongoing evolution. Emerging as more than a performance, the work stands as a living testament to the beauty and intensity of Flamenco.
