Creative workshop available on demand as part of the 2027 Creative Learning Program
Visual Arts | English | Critical and Creative Thinking | Personal and Social Capability
This is a curriculum-aligned creative writing workshop led by experienced artist-facilitators 100 Story Building, that get students excited about writing. Through comics, poetry, world-building, adventure writing, visual narratives and collaborative storytelling, students build practical writing skills while creating original work.
Our highly interactive workshops combine imagination with explicit and implicit teaching. Facilitators model creative techniques, then guide students through brainstorming, drafting, sharing and reflection. Our low-floor, high-ceiling approach ensures every student can participate while providing opportunities for deeper creative thinking.
Students will come away with a piece of creative writing ready to take home. Along the way, students strengthen literacy, communication and critical thinking skills, build confidence in their own voice and learn to experiment, take creative risks and develop original ideas.
Schools can choose from a range of workshops to suit their learning goals, with each session adaptable for different ages, abilities and classroom contexts, we will call prior to arriving to discuss your curriculum goals and choose a workshop.
“Today we observed engagement with the task for a very reluctant writer. This student does not like writing in class and fights it. So him being eager to complete this activity is a great change.” – Catherine C, Grade 4 Teacher
