The Arts – Drama | English
In this workshop students will learn about Australian Bush Ballad poetry and the effective performance of such. Simon will research and visit the town prior to the workshop to find untold and interesting stories from its history and then write a bush ballad poem to use in the workshop.
He will bring this poem into the workshops and talk about it with the students, exchange ideas and edit it together. He will then facilitate a drama workshop focusing on poetry performance and self-confidence skills which the students can also use in other aspects of their lives.
The Offering: Multiple workshops available, sessions of various lengths:
4 x 1hr workshops OR 3 x 90min workshops OR 3 x 2hr workshops OR Mix and match to suit age groups
Workshops for Prep–Year 2 (and Year 3) are best booked as 1-hour sessions
Max 30 students/session
