We are sorry to advise but applications for membership are currently closed until 10 August 2023.

Why are we closed?

We use the period between 20 July and 10 August (updated from 3 August) to prepare for our upcoming renewal period. We connect and test our new forms and letters ready for our returning members for the 2023-2024 membership year.

Can I still join as a new member?

We are only processing urgent requests for insurance during this time. Please note that the turnaround time for obtaining insurance can be 3-4 weeks if your application needs to be referred to the insurance underwriter.

Need urgent insurance?

Get in touch by email: [email protected] explaining your situation and we will send you a link to the application form.

We cannot guarantee that your membership and insurance will be processed quicker than the 3-4 week turnaround time.

Why so long? Some applications require referral to the broker, these must be approved by the insurance underwriter, and it takes time to go through this process to get back to us to approve your membership.

What happens on 10 August?

We open up the application forms for new members on the website – set a calendar reminder to join! If you are joining from August, you receive bonus months free! Your membership will be valid until 31 October 2024. Note, that if you add optional liability insurance, you will receive 2 policies; one that is valid until 31 October 2023, and another that will be sent at the end of October which is valid until 31 October 2024.

Renewing members will be sent their renewal notice that contains a link to the pre-filled renewal form.

New broker: What this means for Members

This year we are adding value by introducing a new Insurance Broker, GSA. GSA have been providing Insurance and Risk Management services for large private businesses and the not-for-profit sector for over 30 years. Recently they became part of the Steadfast Group, the largest general insurance broker and underwriting agency network in Australasia with fast-growing operations in Asia, UK and Europe.

This year all Members’ will enter their insurance details directly into GSA’s web platform. RAV will no longer receive insurance information or hold insurance documents. This will make it easier to keep your insurance information up to date and accessible, plus Members will receive improved customer service for insurance enquiries.

GSA are also happy to provide discounted quotes to RAV members for additional insurance requirements this year.
