Two of Regional Arts Victoria’s touring programs, Arts & Education (schools) and Connecting Places (small halls), are seeking a limited number of artists/companies for their 2022 programs.

If you’re a performing artist or company interested in touring shows to small halls, or an artist (performing, visual, other) that would like to bring performances, workshops or residency programs to young people in schools, we want to hear from you!

Expressions of Interest open from 9am Tuesday 27 April 2021 and close noon (12pm) Tuesday 25 May 2021.

We support the touring artists selected for our programs by building tour itineraries, negotiating fees on behalf of the artists, managing funding applications, coordinating the creation of appropriate marketing materials, contracting, invoicing, booking logistics and reporting. Companies we work with are expected to manage the pre-production phase of the tour, and are encouraged to develop close working relationships with the venues they tour to.

Please note: Equity and diversity across our touring programs is a priority of Regional Arts Victoria. Appropriate expressions of Interest from First Nations, culturally and linguistically diverse, and/or regionally based artists/companies will be prioritised. Please contact Regional Arts Victoria for more information.

Arts & Education

Arts & Education is an incursion based program consisting of live and online performances, residencies and workshops which can take place in schools, community halls, galleries and performing arts centres. The program is designed to bring arts experiences to young people across Victoria from Foundation level through to VCE with links across the Victorian Curriculum, with a firm focus on The Arts – Drama, Music, Dance, Visual Arts, Visual Communication and Design.

We are particularly interested in works with a participatory or workshop element, works designed to be experienced through both in person and/or online delivery and work suitable for primary and secondary ages.

Connecting Places

Connecting Places is our small halls touring program. Our network of halls are mostly run by volunteers. Accordingly, the shows selected for the program are relatively low-cost, ˜tour ready’, easily adaptable to various performance spaces, and tour with their own technical equipment. Performing artists touring with this program must be self-sufficient, flexible and excited to share their work with small communities.
