We are a not-for-profit incorporated organization with the aim of promoting the arts in South Gippsland. As a group we facilitate and promote concerts, art shows and dramatic events.

The Queenscliffe Literary Festival is a niche festival with stand-alone events held across all weekends in May.

The 1938 Art Deco Rex Theatre, Charlton is a fully community owned and volunteer operated enterprise which presents film and live entertainment for communities in the North West region of the state. Combining traditional film and digital screening capabilities, the historical ambiance of the Rex is a feature of the Charlton township, as well as offering cultural potential for the region.

Adrian Osborne is a man of many hats – artist,musician,liquor-licensed cartoonist, public speaker, student pilot and pig owner. He also happens to be one of the fastest caricaturists alive today. With the ability to draw a cartoon portrait in just 2 minutes, Osborne has established himself as one of the fastest felt-tips in the business – and to date has drawn over 48,000 caricatures at private and corporate events nationally. That hardly sounds like a man who once claimed his dream was to pursue “the two day working fortnight and the 3 day lunch”.

Steve is a contemporary photographer, creating images that use mystery to invite people to create their own narratives and see a new perspective. Playing with colour and mixed light he exaggerates the ‘real life’ to bring simple concepts into focus.

Inspired by nature, my work reflects the effects fate, or destiny has on our lives. I paint in acrylics on canvas, and make ceramic sculptural works which are fired using a wood-fired kiln, enabling nature to change their appearance. My present work expresses the importance of our basic connections with the earth, and the acceptance of our noble instincts.

The Festa, held annually since 1992, celebrates the heritage and culture of the Swiss and Italian settlers who immigrated to the region in the mid-nineteenth century. It provides a focus for the region’s Swiss and Italian heritage, attracting descendants and visitors.

Tafta Inc is a Not for profit organisation that presents a week long retreat for artists, craftsperson and like minded individuals to come and create with tutors of their choice.

The Tarra Festival Committee Inc. coordinates and promotes a program of activities and events staged by local volunteer service groups and community organisations during the Tarra Festival Easter weekend activities. The Festival fosters social cohesion and strengthens community spirit by providing a venue for residents and visitors to celebrate the town and develop social networks.

Creativity brings joy. Janene has discovered this on many levels and is happiest when expressing. Through drawing, painting, sculpture and inspiring others to be creative, Janene’s passion for the art process is enthusiastically palpable.
