Phillippa Slinger is an arts professional who has recently returned to Australia after decades living and working in the UK. A music graduate from Melbourne University, Phillippa performed professionally in international orchestras. Later in her career Phillippa turned to arts management, becoming Festival Manager for the international Ledbury Poetry Festival based in rural Herefordshire, UK.

While LPF Manager, Phillippa became a valued guest speaker for corporate and charitable organisations, and a passionate advocate for regional arts. Phillippa has event-managed the entire spectrum of events from small intimate settings to mass gatherings of audiences in their thousands. She has also curated and presented at international poetry festivals such as poesiefest in Berlin, and Poetry International Festival Rotterdam.

Phillippa has a deep and embodied understanding of the value of the arts for rural communities in health and wellbeing, social connection and importantly, economic development. On her return to Australia, Phillippa continued her advocacy in local government, with twin portfolios of Community Development and Arts and Culture.
