Bohdi Taylor
Bohdi is an emerging artist and highly experienced Community Arts Facilitator known for her vibrant work in acrylics and her deep commitment to accessible art practices.
Since 2004, Bohdi has successfully secured grants from numerous prestigious funding bodies, including Arts Victoria, Regional Arts Victoria, various local Councils, and community organizations, to execute a wide range of impactful community arts projects. Her career's initial decade focused prominently on mosaics, establishing a strong foundation in collaborative, publicly engaged art.
Transitioning her focus, Bohdi now operates a fully equipped mobile art studio, specializing in facilitating engaging and creative painting events. Her services cater to diverse groups, offering tailored experiences for birthdays, Hen's parties, corporate team-building workshops, and popular Paint and Sip events at various venues.
Beyond general community work, Bohdi has been dedicated to teaching art to people with disabilities since 2005, concurrently working as an independent Support Worker. This extensive experience fuels her passionate advocacy for accessible art practices. Currently she is working on making her studio accessible and compliant enabling her to teach and host children's birthday parties from there. This is expected to be finished early 2026.
Bohdi profoundly recognizes the therapeutic qualities of art. She actively uses art as a vehicle to bring people together, fostering cohesive relationships and a crucial sense of belonging. Her practice is deliberately designed to mitigate isolation, addressing the mental health challenges prevalent in contemporary society.
