The Victorian Government is renewing its next Creative State strategy to guide future investment in the creative industries, support the jobs and livelihoods of many Victorians and support the creative and cultural experiences that Victorians love.
If you work or aspire to work in the creative sector, you are an active audience member or a newcomer, we want to hear your ideas on how Government can support the sector to build sustainability and impact.
In partnership with Creative Victoria, Regional Arts Victoria (RAV) are facilitating a series of Creative State Consultation sessions across the state to gather feedback and ideas that will help shape the Victorian Government’s next statewide creative industries strategy. Each session will incorporate an interactive workshop facilitated by RAV CEO Jo Porter and RAV Regional Managers based on questions provided by Creative Victoria, as well as a chance to network with other creatives in your area. Check the dates and locations for in-person consultations.
If you are unable to attend a session, all Victorians can contribute to the strategy by completing an online survey via the Engage Victoria website. There is also an option in the survey for young people to select, which includes tailored questions specifically for young people who currently participate in creative activity or are thinking about pursuing a creative career in the future.
In addition to the survey, you can also send a submission outlining your ideas and comments. To help you with your submission Creative Victoria have prepared a strategy discussion paper which includes thought-starters and themes.
Your contribution will help to shape the next creative industries strategy and guide Victorian Government priorities and investment.
Complete the survey or make a submission by 11.59pm, Monday 26 August.
