Support Act 101: Wellbeing Support for Regional Creatives

Join us for an online information session and Q&A with Support Act

This session provides an introduction to Support Act and the mental health and wellbeing supports available to people working across Australia’s creative and cultural industries.

We’ll touch on some of the common pressures experienced across the sector – including insecure income, freelance and project-based work, geographic isolation, and the demands of balancing creative practice with other work – to help frame why tailored support is so important in regional contexts.

The session will then step through the range of supports available through Support Act, including the Wellbeing Helpline, mental health training programs, and practical resources designed for people working across the creative industries.

This reflects Support Act’s broader commitment to ensuring support is accessible, relevant, and responsive to people working across all artforms and locations.

The aim is to build awareness of the supports available, while helping individuals and organisations better understand how to access them and strengthen wellbeing across their communities.
