Porltand CEMA THEATRE GROUP – DOUBLE BILL

"THE GIRL WHO WAS 100 GIRLS" a drama and "JIMMY CHANCER" a comedy on the same night!

Two Australian plays selected to entertain you and celebrate community theatre.

Finegan Kruckemeyer’s thought provoking “The Girl who was 100 Girls” was selected to showcase the talents of our youthful members . A girl is kidnapped. She is kept in solitude with her shadow. Through their eyes and imaginations we meet young women through history who do amazing things, overcome challenges and give us hope.

Karl Hatton has adapted the story of “Jimmy Chancer” from Puccini’s” comic opera, Gianni Schicchi. The setting will be very familiar to Portlanders and residents of South West Victoria. We meet grieving relatives who turn out to be a greedy lot! Will Jimmy Chance help or hinder their plans?
