Of the Land on Which We Meet
We are not the first – nor will we be the last – to walk on this land
Touring as part of the 2025 Touring Services Program
Walking on stone and cement it can be hard to remember what it feels like to have earth beneath our feet.
Na Djinang Circus hopes to re-discover a connection we once had. Through impressive acrobatic skill and personal storytelling, Of The Land on Which We Meet follows the journey of three contemporary Australian circus artists with distinct relationships to Country; an indigenous Australian, a descendant of migrants, and a descendant of colonial settlers. As we question what it means to be where we are.
Supported by Melbourne Fringe, The City of Melbourne, The City of Maribyrnong, Craig Semple, Creative Victoria, Creative Australia, The Women’s Circus and Regional Arts Victoria.
