Newstead Open Studios Art Trail is a locally inspired and crafted event, held yearly since 2015 and based in Newstead, just ten minutes from Castlemaine and in the heart of Victoria’s goldfields region. Visiting a studio is special: come inside, look around, and ask questions about what we make and why. It’s a feast for the senses.

In 2026, our Art Trail includes printmakers, painters, sculptors, ceramicists, jewellers, textile artists and more, plus the Newstead Arts Hub and RedShed Arts Workshop. Pick up the map and guide in Newstead or look at our website for more details.
