Jenny Toye, Froute Loops and Contours
"I start with a few drawings, but then the pieces seem to form themselves - wild arms and spouts turn them into strange objects."
“My usual practice is sculpture made with metal, clay, stone and objects saved from landfill. Froute Loops is a deviation from my practice, but one I find so relaxing and fun to make. I started working in porcelain about a year ago, I love the process, the unpredictability of it and its tactile nature. I start with a few drawings, but then the pieces seem to form themselves – wild arms and spouts turn them into strange objects. The whole process is mediative and fun at the same time.” – Jenny Toye, 2025
