Fuel
Marc Opitz
Jonno, the leader, Toad the follower, Joey the introvert, Fats the strong silent type. Four guys, on the highway, boozed up, pilled up, good times ahead. Something’s Gonna Explode. Six characters. Six versions of the truth. One actor.
It’s 2002 and loaded with booze, pills and testosterone, Toad, Fats, Jonno, and Joey hit the highway in Jonno’s car, which he calls “Cowboy.” Soon, however, the boys find themselves in the middle of nowhere. Stranded and desperate, the core of their friendship is quickly exposed, which may prove more toxic than the fumes coming outta Cowboy.
‘Fuel’ is a story of the poisonous side of mateship, told through seven monologues from six characters, each with their own loyalties, secrets and strange versions of the truth.
“So real…this is now, this is real, this is still angry young men.” Anne-Marie Peard Smart Arts RRR.
“A gritty, gripping and riotously funny, one man-multi character adventure” Green Room Nominee, Andi Snelling (Happy Go Wrong).
