Ever turned a couch into a castle or a sheet into a superhero cape?
FoRT brings that childhood magic to life with acrobatics, clowning, and endless imagination. Watch as two playful adventurers transform everyday objects into wild and whimsical worlds. Pure joy for kids—and kids at heart!
Celebrating the kind of creative genius that turns lounge rooms into volcanoes and cardboard boxes into racing cars. If you’ve ever made a cubby in your lounge room, or helped a little one create their own, this is an inspiring award winning theatrical experience that the whole family will enjoy.
Other details
Since 2008 Asking for Trouble has been creating award winning, beautiful, ridiculous and highly engaging Circus/Physical Theatre works. We devise shows that integrate skills, images, stories and games into a fun and inspiring experience for children and their families. We have created and performed five original works including numerous regional, national and international tours. We are deeply committed to our community practice, which serves as fertile ground for keen observation, experimentation and audience development.
Over the past 20 years we have facilitated workshops and directed community performances/projects independently and for a variety of organisations including Circus Oz, Westside Circus, The Women’s Circus, Kids Own Publishing and Footscray Community Arts Centre. Recently we have worked hyper-locally where we live in Clunes including ‘In the Deep End’ – a circus performance by a youth ensemble in/around community swimming pools and Art Attack a three-year program of activities co-designed with young people to address mental wellbeing and social cohesion supported by Creative Victoria. The program was wide-ranging, including workshops and skill-building across artforms including circus & physical theatre, parkour, filmmaking, writing, theatre, dance/movement, and music.
Suitable for small halls and community spaces. Details to be discussed upon booking.

Asking for Trouble can offer a range of creative workshops to engage your community utilising our backgrounds in Circus, Physical Theatre, Storytelling, Dance and Visual arts. Most recently they have been touring ‘Creating Collaboratively’ workshops to schools across Victoria, but would love to chat to hear a bit more about your community to figure out a bespoke offering.
Christy and Luke guide students and teachers to explore their favourite collection of processes to devise their own original work. Asking for Trouble focus on finding ways to incorporate games and play into live theatre, making it accessible and FUN.
Students will move their bodies, laugh, connect with each other, and try new things. In the Introduction to Physical Theatre workshops, students are introduced to new ideas, skills, concepts and perspectives as they are led through a series of fun physical activities. Christy and Luke will encourage students to take creative risks and push their boundaries and then engage them in reflective exercises to help them learn from their experiences. This workshop can be tailored to explore a particular idea or theme as a way to develop original youth led material for an upcoming school performance.
