Community BBQ and Welcome Artists In Residence, Allison Wiese – San Diego, USA
Community BBQ kicks off the residency of international artist Allison Wiese — join us for food, stories, and creative connections!
Radical Fields welcomes international artist Allison Wiese to Glenlyon as the 2026 Artist in Residence. Allison will immerse herself in the local landscape and community, listening, walking, and gathering stories to inform a new artwork for Harvest Festival 2027. Her practice bridges local experience with global ideas, exploring participation, place, and the subtle dynamics between people and landscape. This residency celebrates the power of regional landscapes as spaces for connection, creativity, and internationally informed, socially engaged art.
To kick off the residency, Radical Fields invites the community to a relaxed Welcome BBQ — a space to meet Allison, share stories, and exchange ideas in a good country atmosphere. This informal gathering is a chance to connect over place, practice, and creativity, while celebrating the start of Allison’s journey in Glenlyon.
Delicious sausage sizzle with vegetarian and gluten-free options will be available, along with $10 meals and BYO drinks. There will also be Radical Fields merchandise on offer and a raffle — all in an accessible, welcoming space for the whole community.
