The Great Southern Summer Salon at Meeniyan Art Gallery
Theme: Impressions of Coast and Country — From Westernport Bay to Wilsons Promontory

We invite artists to submit works for an upcoming exhibition celebrating the landscapes, seascapes and spirit of Victoria’s magnificent south coast. This exhibition runs in peak visitation time for our gallery and the region. Stretching from the sheltered waters of Westernport Bay to the dramatic granite peaks of Wilsons Promontory, this region is rich in natural beauty. Rolling farmland meets rugged headlands, tranquil inlets contrast with windswept surf beaches and tidal mudflats give way to coastal woodlands alive with birdlife. The interplay of light, weather, and changing seasons creates endless impressions for artists to capture in paint, print, sculpture or mixed media.

This exhibition seeks to showcase diverse interpretations of this remarkable part of Victoria — its coasts, countryside, wildlife and the emotional connections it inspires.

• Open to all media and styles from Victorian based artists
• Size limit upto 100cm wide or high.
• Works should respond to the exhibition theme
• Submission deadline: 5pm OCTOBER 31 2025.
• Acceptance confirmations emailed by November 15
• Exhibition dates: DECEMBER 3 – JANUARY 30 2026
• Entry is free, ACCEPTED finalists pay $30 per work in the show.
