Caring for ourselves and each other with help from Support Act

New free online mental health and wellbeing sessions for RAV Members

Starting in September, RAV is partnering with Support Act to bring practical mental health and wellbeing training to RAV Members.

From September 2026 to January 2027, RAV Members can join a series of free Support Act MINIs — 60-minute, topic-specific online workshops designed to build practical mental health and psychosocial safety skills for creative workplaces.

Each MINI focuses on one key challenge and one set of practical skills, giving you strategies and tools you can put into practice straight away. Whether you join the whole series or choose the sessions most relevant to you, MINIs offer a flexible way to build your confidence and skills around mental health and wellbeing at work.

What are Support Act MINIs?

Support Act MINIs are short, focused workshops designed to make mental health and wellbeing learning accessible and practical for people working in the creative industries. Each session explores a specific topic and provides actionable strategies that can be applied immediately — without requiring a significant time commitment.

The series reflects Support Act’s commitment to ensuring mental health and wellbeing support is accessible, relevant and responsive to creative workers across all artforms and locations, including regional communities.

Support Act Mental Health Programs & Partnerships Manager Hamish Swain said:

“A real focus for us at Support Act is ensuring creative workers can access mental health and wellbeing support wherever they’re based, including in regional communities. Our MINIs are a really accessible way to build practical skills and understanding across various mental health and wellbeing topics, without requiring a huge time commitment.

We’re really proud to partner with Regional Arts Victoria to bring this series to their members, and we look forward to continuing to build our work across regional Victoria over the coming year.”
