Dinosaur Time Machine by Highwire Events and Entertainment

Buckle up and take a trip in a giant time machine to get up close and personal with a life-sized T-Rex!

Dinosaur Time Machine incorporates up to date science and discoveries made about dinosaurs and the world that they lived in, and presents it in a fun and highly visual way, incorporating circus, puppetry, simple narrative and imaginative play in this unique educational theatre production, aimed at children aged 3-9.

The idea behind Dinosaur Time Machine is to excite it’s young audiences about science while at the same time stimulate creativity. It achieves this by delivering an educational show full of facts while utilising the concept of imaginative play to encourage kids to use their imagination throughout, to help tell the story. It engages with kids throughout the show, and there’s no fourth wall - lots of interaction throughout. The show was written by Pablo Latona, a theatre maker, ex-science communicator, and clown doctor, and utilises the skills within these three different styles of performances to tell the story.

“It is educational, well done, and extremely entertaining” - Global Media Post 2016

“Lots of hilarity… My son really loved the whole thing and even managed to remember some of the dinosaur related facts afterwards!” - Play and Go 2016

“Dinosaur Time Machine isn’t your everyday dinosaur show. It weaves factual information into the fun… circus and puppetry and audience interaction are all used to great effect… the charm of Dinosaur Time Machine lies in its ability to convey through simple means how science works” - Adelaide Advertiser (4 stars) 2016

“The show is an articulate, entertaining, educational and extremely funny mix of the science of dinosaurs and comedy. Their presentation was great - they totally engaged with the audience and the language and theatrics were totally on par with the age group that this show is targeted at. Dinosaur Time Machine is good, really good. It's funny and clever, and there's even a bit of history and education thrown in. Take the kids and be prepared for a wild ride and watch out for the TRex!” - Weekend Notes 2017
