Stitching a Story – Wangaratta Stitched Up Textile Festival 2017

The 14th Stitched Up Textile Festival will be held in and around Wangaratta July 8-16, 2017 and will showcase a raft of textile exhibitions and events.  While many events start before and finish after the festival dates, they all come together during the Stitched Up Textile Festival July 8-16 as we celebrate the diverse range of textile pursuits, come together to share and learn textile techniques, enjoy stunning exhibitions and immerse ourselves in the rich textile history of Wangaratta.

Start your festival at Stitchy Central - Gallery 2 at the Wangaratta Art Gallery, here you can pick up maps and get the latest news about the festival. A community Textile Exhibition with the theme Stitching a Story will be on display and you can vote for your favourite in the People’s Choice award. There will be demonstrations by local crafts people throughout the festival. From Stitchy Central check out the events within walking distance of the CBD. Short car trips will take you to stitchy venues around town and the region. There are plenty of retail opportunities within Wangaratta and beyond. Many workshops are on offer and exciting one day events, including our popular Makers Market to conclude the festival on July 16. Full details head to www.stitchedupfestival.com
