INSTRUMENTATION

Instrument maker Nick Carpenter is bringing his debut art exhibition home to Daylesford. INSTRUMENTATION is a unique art exhibition inspired by musical instruments and has recently been on show in Melbourne as part of Melbourne Music Week Extended. It is now heading home to Daylesford over the Australia Day (long) weekend, where you can experience over 40 unique artworks up close & personal and have a chat to the artist, which was not possible at the Melbourne event.

Nick has been making musical instruments for over 30 years. He also runs weekend guitar making courses in his workshop in Mount Franklin. Over the past few years he has turned his talents to making stunning sculptures and mixed media artworks out of musical instruments. This is his first solo exhibition, initially cancelled back in April due to COVID-19, INSTRUMENTATION is now back, bigger and better than ever for the regional community to experience.

It is being held in the Wildwood workshop, where these creations were made. Open 10am to 5pm, 23-26 Jan. It is a free event and all are welcome to drop in and experience this very different artform.

The exhibition is also online at our website.
