Frailty 2017

Pricking Thumbs Collective is a fabulous new theatre company based in Castlemaine. Headed by renowned playwright, actor and director and comedian, Sue Ingleton,

FRAILTY has had two short sell out seasons at La Mama in Carlton, and during the Castlemaine State Festival.

FRAILTY is an hilarious, emotional and passionate play of our times! It presents a whole new look at Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’ from a woman’s perspective.

Two housewives must write an essay on the line, “Frailty, thy name is woman.” How they arrive, through a roller coaster ride of argument, to their earth-shattering interpretation changes both their lives forever.

An hilarious and passionate play which throws two ill-matched housewives together to write an essay on Hamlet’s incriminating line: ‘Frailty, thy name is woman.’
Under Sue Ingleton’s direction, brilliant performers, Bev Geldard and Bridget Haylock take a roller coaster ride to where the rails end! If you think you know everything about ‘Hamlet’ and women - you’re wrong!
