100 STEPS IN SITU: Storytelling Workshop

Chameleon Arts is excited to announce a Storytelling Workshop with expert facilitator Katrina Foster on Saturday 15 February.

Science tells us that our brains are hard-wired for story. Within communities, storytelling encourages us to reflect on our diverse heritage and appreciate generational contributions.

Our workshop is designed for people of all ages and backgrounds. Through storytelling, we can build and strengthen communities, and it’s fun!

We’ll explore the theme of hoes, helping you dig around for a story, shape it and tell it: shoes that you’ve worn, shoes that you want to fill, shoes you can’t fill. All shoes tell a story, so what’s yours?

Katrina Foster has been around the business of storytelling all her working life. She has worked as an actor, a television writer and a script assessor. She currently teaches screenwriting at the University of Technology, Sydney. Katrina has developed and held workshops for many community and corporate organisations, and will be assisted by local writer Louise Le Nay.

We’ll explore the theme of hoes, helping you dig around for a story, shape it and tell it : shoes that you’ve worn, shoes that you want to fill, shoes the you can’t fill. All shoes tell a story, so what’s yours?
