Poetic License - Outer Urban Projects
The Poetic License Workshop explores the power and limitations of words and generates writing for performance in all its forms; spoken word, poetry, rap, freestyle and song. An impressive ensemble of cross-generational and culturally diverse writers and performers will riff off the new and the old to wrangle the timeless question – can the spoken word really move and inspire? Can it change anything?
Students draw on the performance to create their own poetry/rap/spoken word and share it with their peers in a slam-type setting revealing the complexity and uniqueness of their own creativity.
