From One Word - Barking Spider Visual Theatre
From One Word asks participants to consider a theme, or consider what matters most to them. They then work collaboratively to boil this theme, idea or problem down to One Word. Students work in pairs, and select only one word from the two. And the process is repeated, until the whole class collectively ends up with just One Word.
The workshop develops into a creative exploration of how this theme might be used in an artistic context using different art forms. The students devise a collaborative artistic response to their one word – eg. Through drama, writing, visual art or puppetry, to be presented to each other.
