BiggerPictureANIMATION offers flexible, engaging and hands-on stop motion workshops. Creativity and industry standard skills are brought together to promote curiosity, collaboration and educational outcomes designed to delight and align with the Victorian curriculum. Workshops can be tailored to suit any class size or skill-set.  Students will create an original stop motion animation or build on this session to dive into character building, theory and techniques used in this visual and tactile creative process.

BiggerPictureANIMATION is a growing arts and education company that caters to creative learning within schools and organisations which promote engagement with young people via art, storytelling and animation. With a core value system that promotes confidence, voice and industry standard skills in the participants with which we work, BiggerPictureAnimation curates flexible incursion based animation workshops for Primary and Secondary school aged participants of various levels of experience. Program handbooks and materials are provided along with a hands-on and tactile approach to teaching the required skills in a rubric friendly manner.

With core program focuses of stop motion animation and augmented reality embedded artwork, we encourage schools to pick and choose from our offerings to create a fully bespoke program that caters to their needs. We aim to be as flexible as possible and will work with you to suit the needs of your group.

Educators are encouraged to choose from the Teacher Professional Development offerings to complement their school program or as a stand-alone PD experience.

We are also able to offer short residencies including but not limited to: a live performance of real time response visuals (VJ'ing) screening of work produced in the workshops. Themes can be tailored to suit the schools needs and outcomes developed to showcase the internal landscapes of the students in relation to these themes. Creative outcomes from previous BiggerPictureANIMATION project have featured as part of the Melbourne International Animation Festival, The St Kilda Film Festival as well as individual exhibitions.
