Leanne Mooney worked with the St Andrews, Kinglake and Christmas Hills communities to create Memory Boxes - an exhibition of perspex boxes filled with objects rescued or recreated from the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires. The exhibition will honour these precious objects, displaying them to the community and preserving the stories behind them.
The project launched Sunday November 28 at 2.00pm at the Light Factory Gallery, 21 Brougham St Eltham.
The Memory Boxes were displayed in the BMW Edge at Fed Square for the week of the Melbourne installation, where many people were touched by the stories behind them. See the program here: Hurstbridge program
