2009 RAVE Awards
Since 1990 RAV has awarded certificates of recognition acknowledging outstanding dedication and service to the arts in communities across Victoria. To date almost 90 people have been nominated by their local arts group and received an award.
The RAVE Awards are given in six categories. The 2009 recipients are:
Contemporary Cultural Development: Apollo Bay Music Festival
Arts and Business Partnership: Right Click Records
Indigenous Arts: Koorie Heritage Trust
Arts Volunteering: Ken Raff
Regional Touring: Mary Souness
Youth Leadership: Emma Barrance
(The Youth Leadership award included for the first time in 2009 a $1,000 special cash prize generously supported by the Deloitte Foundation)
