Minister for Creative Industries Martin Foley visited Bendigo Art Gallery on Friday 1 May to make the announcement of $20 million for regional arts and creativity funds. The programs will be delivered by Creative Victoria and funded through the Regional Jobs and Infrastructure Fund.
Director of Regional Arts Victoria Esther Anatolitis said of the announcement:
I'm absolutely delighted with today's announcement by Minister Foley. This investment in regional arts is broad and strategic – and more importantly, as a commitment to recurrent funding, it ensures a sustained focus both on regional artists and regional creative industries. Regional Arts Victoria welcomes the opportunity to present an ongoing Small Town Transformation initiative. We very much look forward to unpacking the detail and inviting more communities to imagine a creative legacy for their town.
