Subsidy to attend writing events in October

Regional Arts Victoria and City of Literature are partnering to present two literature events in October to facilitate discussion, information sharing, and networking.
- Thursday 20 October: Literature Regional Cultural Forum
- Friday 21 October: Literary Programmers Round table
The forum will be a one day networking event where you will have the opportunity to hear from artists and arts workers working in the field. Speakers from across the state will include festivals and writers sharing their stories of success and challenge.
The round table will be a facilitated session for writers’ festivals and literary programmers across Victoria to sit down and talk about challenges and opportunities, as well as an occasion to learn from and share with each other.
Both events will take place at the Wheeler Centre in Melbourne.
The City of Literature, via Regional Arts Victoria, is also offering a subsidy program for those who may require financial assistance to attend both sessions. The grant of $400 per successful applicant is to be used on travel, accommodation, and/or per diems. All successful applicants will be required to submit a short acquittal report, including a finance statement explaining what the grant was spent on, to Regional Arts Victoria by Friday 18 November.
Applications close at 9.00am on Wednesday 21 September. They will then be assessed by Regional Arts Victoria and the City of Literature. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by Tuesday 27 September.
If you have any questions about the subsidy or the events, please call Lucy Hamilton on (03) 9644 1813 or email email@example.com.
