Join much loved Australian musicians and surf coast locals Miles and Simone as they return to their roots and play a special one-off show at Bellbrae Hall. The event is presented by Regional Arts Victoria and celebrates 5 years of shining a light on community halls across the state through the Home is Where the Hall is project.
Miles and Simone will be performing their acoustic duets subtly augmented by an old wonky piano, pedal steel and the pluck of a banjo. When Miles and Simone sing, they cast a spell of lonesome roads and oceans filled with heartbreak. Set in the folk/country tradition their songs are straight from the heart and tell tales of the things that were, the things that weren’t and everything in between.
Having played at The Melbourne International Arts Festival, The Brisbane Powerhouse World Theatre Festival, The Famous Spielgeltent and supporting the likes of Clairy Browne and the Banging Rackettes, Tinpan Orange and Harry James Angus, this is your chance to enjoy this much loved duet with a free gig on us!
Come along to Bellbrae Hall on Saturday 7 November for an evening of music and celebration for the whole family. Pack a picnic, find a comfy spot amongst rugs, beanbags and lamps. Sit back and enjoy a delicious wine available for sale from Bellbrae Estate.
