Regional Arts Victoria is thrilled to announce our 2015 Education & Families program, set to inspire young minds far and wide across the state.
“Creative, hands-on arts experiences are the very best way to give young minds the new adventures they crave!” said Regional Arts Victoria’s Education & Families Manager, Suzi Cordell.
For over 40 years, Regional Arts Victoria has been the leader in providing workshops, performances and arts experiences for children and young people. Each year we tour a wide range of projects throughout regional and metropolitan Victoria, spanning Mallacoota to Murrayville and Heywood to Corryong.
“We pride ourselves on providing relevant and exciting activities for children and young people that are complementary to both Victorian and Australian curriculum, and each year close to 20,000 young people take part,” said Suzi.
“Our Education & Families program is designed to be flexible, convenient and affordable, providing the most accessible format for schools, students and communities.”
“We present performances and workshops across all artforms, including Music, Visual arts, Drama, Dance, Circus and Technology and Media.”
The Education & Families Program can be accessed in a number of ways:
Our On the Road program tours a range of programs for 2-3 weeks at a time. These high quality productions showcase some of Australia’s best performers and artists, including the National Gallery of Victoria, KAGE, Polyglot Theatre and Melbourne Theatre Company. These productions travel statewide during specific dates.
The On Call program consists of a variety of performances and workshops that can be booked all year round, at a time that suits your school, gallery or community centre.
We are also thrilled to offer a range of opportunities for schools and communities to participate in Artist Residencies, enabling students to engage more deeply in their arts experiences.
We offer a significant Subsidy program for schools in difficult circumstances, so contact us to find out if you are eligible.
